​In line with its comprehensive digital transformation project, Etihad Water and Electricity recently upgraded the ERP System to ‘SAP HANA’ thus transforming it into a fully intelligent entity that performs its functions faster and more efficiently.
The Director General, Mohammad Mohammad Saleh, said that ‘SAP HANA’ is a digital platform equipped with a set of the latest smart applications, and includes a standard database classified internationally by Gartner. It is known for its high speed and the ability to eliminate performance bottlenecks.
Saleh mentioned that through the system ‘Etihad WE’ operations have been rebuilt using the latest digital transformation technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), chatbots, predictive capabilities through machine learning, event based data in Internet of Things (IOT), the new generation of SAP Fiori, as well as the latest mobile technologies which have resulted in a multifold increase in the throughput.
