The vision whose foundation was laid by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan more than half a century ago, and which the honorable leaders who succeeded him have followed up to the present moment, focuses on the constant pursuit of distinction and precedence in order to raise the flag of the UAE proudly in various international events and forge a bright future for our people.
Today, the UAE’s institutions and service sectors are practicing their work, guided by the insightful vision of the wise leadership represented by HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him, and the government directions expressed by the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in order to maintain that unique international position that calls for pride and pushes to achieve more.
We at Etihad Water and Electricity work within the framework of the tools of that vision, including strategies, plans and programs in order to meet the increasing demand for water and electricity and provide them to a large population on a wide geographical scale with the highest levels of quality while contributing effectively to sustainability of energy, water, environment and green economy. These strategies and programs include the Pillars of Future Foresight and a Diversified Knowledge Economy within the "UAE Centennial Plan 2071", achieving the balance between economic needs and environmental goals by forming a balanced mix of energy sources within the "UAE Energy Strategy 2050", the pillars related to achieving the "UAE Water Security Strategy 2036", including programs of Water Demand Management, Water Supply Management and Emergency Production Distribution, as well as the principles that control the overall national performance as appearing in “The Principles of the Fifty", along with the "National Water and Energy Demand Management Program" and the "UAE Net Zero 2050".
