Eng. Yousif Al Ali

Eng. Yousif Ahmed Al Ali serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Water and Electricity (EtihadWE), where his leadership is instrumental in driving forward the growth and success of the UAE’s energy and utilities sector. His role involves spearheading integrated strategic initiatives, influencing sector policies, and aligning the organisation with the UAE’s 2050 Energy Strategy.
With a distinguished career spanning two decades in the energy and petrochemical sectors, Eng. Al Ali also holds a position as Chairman of NAQA’A Desalination Plant. His extensive expertise encompasses investment, engineering, and strategic project management.
Before joining EtihadWE, Eng. Al Ali was the Assistant Undersecretary for Electricity, Water & Future Energy Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. As Executive Director of the Masdar Clean Energy Unit, he oversaw investment strategies and the operations of renewable energy projects on a global scale.
Eng. Al Ali's academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Business Administration from IE Business School in Madrid and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from UAE University, in addition to being a Certified Professional in Project Management.
