The Director-General's Statement to "Albayan": FEWA Accomplished 3.5 Million Transaction During 2020

​  The Federal Electricity and Water Authority accomplished during the past year 3 million 455 thousand and 763 transactions, of which 96.9% were through electronic and smart channels.
     Mohammad Mohammad Saleh, Director General of FEWA said to “Al-Bayan” that the Authority launches continuously automated services through its website and its various smart channels, which contributed to reducing customer visits to service centers. He pointed out that these services contains: Changing Owner Name, changing Rate Category, issuance of No Liability Certificate, Transferring Amounts, Meter Testing or Replacement for whether electricity or water, Electricity or Water Meter Shifting, Amendment or Adding Loads, immediate Payment Service for one or several accounts, Invoice Inquiry Service, issuance of Clearance Certificate, Connection of Electricity or Water, New Consumer Service Activation, issuance of Land Clearance Certificate for electricity or water services, electricity and water Technical Design Approval, Payable Installment Service, in addition to Suggestions and Complaints Service, Reporting Electricity or Water Emergencies, Receiving and Responding to Customer Notes.
     He said that FEWA has provided 20 different channels for its consumers to pay the fees, including 14 banks, 3 exchange companies, Emirates Post offices, automatic payment machines, as well as digital platforms which includes a set of smart applications and the Authority's website.
     He said that the number of automatic payment machines provided by FEWA outside its buildings is 6000 machines, in addition to the automatic machines of 14 banks include the most important and largest banks operating in the UAE.
     He pointed out that the authority seeks to provide its services according to the highest international standards to reflect the directives of the wise leadership in this area, and the authority’s endeavor to be the leading authority of services it provides locally, regionally and globaly.
