WETEX 2021, the international exhibition for the latest technological applications in the fields of energy, water and environment, kicked off yesterday. The exhibition is being held this year under the name of "Dubai Solar Show", aiming to achieve integration between all selectors of the energy industry and bringing together trade and technical sectors whilst facilitating the creation of new trade opportunities, enhancing an exchange of ideas and experiences and showcasing the latest innovations and technologies related to the field.
The exhibition, which is being held from 5 to 7 October, was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with great international and media momentum in conjunction with EXPO Dubai and on its sidelines.
Etihad Water and Electricity participates in the exhibition along with major companies and institutions operating in the sector with a large stand displaying the latest technologies in the field and its utilities, including a huge model of the new water desalination plant in Umm Al Quwain, the largest plant of its kind in the region.
The activities of the first day of the exhibition were attended by a number of EtihadWE officials, led by Adnan Nasib Salem, Executive Director of Shared Services.
