​In implementation of the directives of H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him” to implement vital development projects that meet the needs of citizens and facilitate their lives, The Follow-Up Committee of President’s Initiatives has completed the works of a number of road networks and development projects that shorten distance and time between the various regions of the country, with a total amount of 1.95 billion dirhams and a total length of 112 kilometers.
The completed projects included three axes: the axis of the new Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road to Al-Shuwaib area in Abu Dhabi, Al-Watan Road which extends from Hatta and intersects with the first axis in Maliha area of Sharjah, in addition to the axis of the Dubai-Hatta Road.
The new roads will shorten the distance and time between regions, as well as improve traffic safety and the flow of vehicles on the road.
It is noteworthy that the new roads were implemented by the Ministry of Presidential Affairs in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and the ‘Etihad Water & Electricity’.
