69 Million the Cost of Water Infrastructure Projects in Ajman

​Mohammad Mohammad Saleh, Director General of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority said that the total water infrastructure projects in Ajman amounted to 69 million dirhams.
Saleh stated to ‘Alkhaleej’ that the Authority had completed during the past year about 90% of its project to replace the old water pipelines in Al-Nuaimiya area. This project, at a cost of 42 million dirhams, aims to improve the quality of service provided and raise the efficiency and reliability of the network in the region, indicating that the entire project is scheduled to be completed during the first half of 2021.
He stated that the Authority is currently working on a project to extend new transmission and distribution pipelines in Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed City and other areas in Ajman at a cost of 23 million dirhams. The project aims to provide the future needs of water in the city and the surrounding areas. It is scheduled to be completed within The first half of 2022. He added that the Authority already completed a number of extensions and expansions in the distribution networks and new connections in different areas of Ajman at a cost of about 4 and a half million dirhams, while the total number of new water service delivery transactions completed by the Authority during 2020 amounted to about 1,300 transactions in Ajman Only.
