The Federal Electricity and Water Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments which aimed to activate and consolidate the concepts of conservation of electricity and water consumption and to achieve sustainability.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by the Director General, Mohammed Mohammed Saleh from FEWA side and by the Director General, Mohammed Saeed Al Nyadi, from the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments side.
During his comment on this agreement, the Director General of FEWA, Mohammed Mohammed Saleh, said that according to this agreement, FEWA will install water saving devices and parts in a group of mosques and assign a field technical team to check and maintain the above devices and parts as well as to raise awareness of conservation of electricity and water consumption.
This memorandum of understanding with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments is part of FEWA's efforts to contribute to achieving one of the most important pillars of the UAE Vision 2021, which is "sustainable environment and infrastructure".
