Etihad Water and Electricity Company (EtihadWE) has entered into a new partnership with Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWGA) through a memorandum of understanding in the field of electronic linkage. This collaboration aims to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two parties regarding the mechanism by which SEWGA covers a portion of the water and electricity connection fees for residents of the Central Region and Dibba Al Hisn, in implementation of the generous support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for the beneficiaries of Sharjah Housing Program. This initiative focuses on reducing the burdens of water and electricity connections in the designated areas.

Engineer Yousif Ahmed Al Ali, CEO of EtihadWE, expressed his pride in the fruitful strategic partnership with SEWGA, which culminated recently with the launch of the second phase of the water connection project between the two parties. He said, "Today, we deepen this partnership through a new cooperation agreement in the field of electronic linkage, facilitating the procedures of joint projects between the two parties. It also serves the implementation of the generous support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for the residents of the Central Region and Dibba Al Hisn who benefit from the housing support program, particularly concerning easing the burdens of water and electricity connections in the mentioned areas."

Al Ali affirmed Etihad Water and Electricity's ongoing commitment to solidify strategic cooperation with all UAE entities to support national efforts aimed at enhancing services provided to citizens across various sectors and achieving strategic goals at all levels.

On his part, Saeed Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SEWGA, emphasized the permanent readiness of the Authority to make every effort that contributes to facilitating procedures, expediting project implementation, and providing the best services in various regions of Sharjah. This comes in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to enhance partnerships and accelerate digital transformation.
