CEO to Lead Visiting Delegation to Maliha Wheat Farm

 Eng. Yousif Ahmed Al Ali, the CEO of Etihad Water and Electricity (EtihadWE), recently paid a visit to the "Saba Sanabel" wheat farm in Maliha, where he met with Dr. Khalifa Musabeh Al Tunaiji, the Head of the Sharjah Department of Agriculture and Livestock (SDAL), as well as Eng. Faisal Al Sarkal, the Director of the Water Department at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWGA).

       During the meeting, the three parties discussed the preparations for the launch of the second phase of the farm, as well as exploring new opportunities for collaboration. The CEO was impressed with the farm's achievements since its launch and expressed his gratitude to HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for the success of the project's first season. Eng. Yousif Ahmed Al Ali pledged Etihad Water and Electricity's full readiness to contribute effectively to all projects announced by HH the Ruler of Sharjah related to agriculture and animal wealth. He also promised to provide all necessary facilities and support to ensure the success of these vital projects, in close cooperation and coordination with the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority.

       Dr. Khalifa Musabeh Al Tunaiji praised the efforts of EtihadWE and SEWGA in implementing projects aimed at supporting sustainability efforts and developing their operations in line with the overall vision of the leadership and the strategic directions of the Sharjah emirate in particular. He confirmed HH the Ruler of Sharjah's keenness to create opportunities for cooperation with all entities concerned with agricultural and animal wealth sustainability, and enhancing food security in the UAE.

       Faisal Al Sarkal, Director of the Water Department at SEWGA, affirmed the authority's continuous efforts to provide the necessary support for the success of the three phases of the farm. He also highlighted the strengthened cooperation with Etihad Water and Electricity Company to provide the required support for vital projects.
