A FEWA delegation headed by Director General, Mohamed Mohamed Saleh, visited Japan to learn about the best available technology in the generation, production, transmission and distribution of electricity.
The visit included the factories of Mitsubishi, one of the largest companies specialized in the field of energy in the world, where the delegation has seen the latest gas turbines of high-efficiency, and a number of power plants of turbo type, and inspected the various types that are produced and depend on different technologies with cooling systems, whether by air, gas or water and with a production capacity of 1000 MW.
The delegation also visited circuit breakers factory "GIS" with high capacities of more than 1000 kV, as well as test laboratories for these circuit breakers.
The delegation also visited the latest energy storage projects through batteries, with a capacity up to 300 megawatts per hour, and saw the latest technologies applied in smart networks.
The two sides have agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding to share knowledge and train national technicians in FEWA on the latest technology used in the company.
