The 25th edition of the Water, Energy, and Environment Technology Exhibition, "WETEX and Dubai Solar Show," successfully concluded on Friday. Hosted by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) at the Dubai World Trade Centre from November 15 to 17 under the theme "At the Forefront of Sustainability."
Etihad Water and Electricity (EtihadWE) demonstrated a compelling presence at the exhibition, showcasing its leading smart services and innovative initiatives. Engineer Yousif Ahmed Al Ali, the CEO, engaged in television interviews and press dialogues, shedding light on the company's commitment to supporting national strategies in water, energy, and climate neutrality.
As a strategic partner with the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Etihad Water and Electricity played a pivotal role in realizing the goals of the "Global Market for Electric Vehicles" transformational project. The company, entrusted with a significant role in implementing the National Electric Vehicles Policy, exhibited the latest green chargers and models at the event. This initiative aims to transition 100% of government vehicles to electric vehicles by 2035 and achieve 50% electric vehicles in the country by 2050.
Additionally, EtihadWE presented cutting-edge digital services and smart applications at the exhibition, integrating artificial intelligence technology for fast and advanced services. Notably, a ChatGPT-driven phased program, represented by an avatar named "Edris," showcased the company's commitment to innovation.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Etihad Water and Electricity launched the registration portal for the "Manzily Energy Advice Service" initiative. This pioneering project, in collaboration with Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, incentivizes citizens in Ras Al Khaimah to adopt a sustainable lifestyle by conserving electricity consumption in homes.
Prior to the exhibition's commencement, CEO Engineer Yousif Ahmed Al Ali stated that Etihad Water and Electricity Company's participation in "WETEX and Dubai Solar Show" reflects its ongoing dedication to exploring new partnerships and fostering investment opportunities. Al Ali emphasized that this commitment aligns with the company's future visions, in harmony with the strategic directions of wise leadership and both short and long-term national policies. Significantly, the exhibition stands as a vital platform in essential service sectors, reinforcing the UAE's position as a global leader in sustainable development and the green economy.
