Etihad Water and Electricity announced that it has entered in a five-year partnership with "e& enterprise" (formerly Etisalat) as part of its orientation towards smart solutions and utilizing the latest global technologies in the field of services it provides.

Through this partnership, the "e&" group will provide the infrastructure needed for the AMI project by building M2M (3G/4G) network to enable connectivity.

Mohammad Mohammad Saleh, Director General of Etihad Water and Electricity, said that the smart meter is a unique project led the company to obtain international awards such as the GOLD Award for ‘Best Technical Support Solution – Computer Technologies’ in the ‘IT Category’ within the International Stevie Awards 2020, which confirms the company's constant endeavor to achieve the desired leadership by adopting the latest technologies related to the field of services that it provides, pointing to his pride in the planned partnership with the "e& enterprise", which would provide the necessary infrastructure required for the project.
