Established in 1999, the central laboratory of Etihad Water and Electricity is an example of excellence in laboratory infrastructure and operation. Designed and developed according to international best practices, our laboratory features a multidisciplinary technical structure that strengthens our quality infrastructure and adheres to the highest global standards for water testing and certification. The primary function of our central laboratory is to scrutinise the quality of water produced and distributed to our customers and consumers across sectors in the Emirates served by Etihad Water and Electricity.

Our goal is to be the leading reference laboratory, staying abreast of the latest technologies to support our vision of being pioneers in providing top-notch electricity and water services. This, in turn, enhances the standard of living and fosters sustainable growth, aligning with the vision of the government of the United Arab Emirates to rank among the world's leading nations in economic and social development.
